The medium is NOT the message
I personally value technology as one of the most interesting means of artistic expression. It combines artistic and design activity with a multitude of sometimes more, sometimes less tempting technological challenges. Beyond the comforting illusion of controlling technology I am interested in the question of how and what could be communicated using it.
I might be wrong
The progress of design is characterized by an active exploration of new technologies and the enthusiastic hunt for innovations. Short-lived design trends play a minor part in view of questions regarding content, communication and the purpose of such efforts. If once in a while one gets rid of limitations by others one might clear up some of those quesions. Or fail. And sometimes there is no difference between the two.
